Accommodation

Both the venues for the conference and the contributor day are in the district of Clifton, which is just north of the City Center. So if you want a hotel as close as possible, try searching in this area. You will also find the city center is close.

Please, bear in mind Bristol is a very hilly city and that our venue is at the top end (highest end) of Park Street. It means we get amazing views from lots of place, but if you are not the most mobile of people you might need to leave yourself extra time to get around.

If you want more info on how to travel to the venue have a look at our Locations, dates and travel page.

A nice boutique hotel very close by. The walk will be amongst the flattest you can get (not entirely flat though)!

They also do single rooms and their website says “one of the best boutique hotels in the UK for under £100 (fifth according to the Guardian), it’s also Bristol’s finest and the city’s first Art Hotel. Recently recommended as the place to stay in Bristol in the Sunday Telegraph“.

Broad Quay BS1 4BY Bristol United Kingdom

If work are paying for your hotel, this could be a good option. It’s a four star hotel at four star hotel prices, but is well located in the City Center. However, be aware if you don’t have great mobility there is a short, but steep walk up Park Street to get to the main conference venue.

Berkley Serviced Apartments

TravelLodge

Anchor Road, A4, Bristol, BS1 5TT

A pretty cheap location about a 15 – 20 walk up some steep hills. You’ve probably heard of TravelLodge before, but in case not they are a big chain of budget hotels in the UK.

There is another TravelLodge in Bristol, Bristol Central Mitchel Lane. This one is a little further away and is more like 25 minutes to walk. The Central one on Anchor Road would be a better location for the conference, and is close to the waterfront which is nice for strolling along into the city center.

YHA (Youth Hostel Association)

https://www.yha.org.uk/hostel/yha-bristol

14 Narrow Quay, Avon, Bristol BS1 4QA, UK

You do not need to be a YHA member nor a young person to stay at a YHA place. In fact these can make great budget options if you are staying on your own and don’t mind mixing it up with all different types of people.

YHA Bristol has 133 beds in a selection of dorm rooms and private rooms, some of which are en-suite. It also has a lovely location right on Bristol’s waterfront. It is a 10 minute walk up Park Street to the conference.
