Our aim is to create an event which demonstrates the WordPress community at its most lovely, and also showcases WordPress in the South West.

Everyone involved in organising this WordCamp is giving their time for free, putting effort in around paid work and family life, to give back to the WordPress community.

Janice Tye – Overall lead

Graphic designer, WordPress developer and business owner. An organiser for Bristol WordPress People, co-organiser for WordCamp Bristol 2017 and member of PR team for WordCamp Europe 2019. Enthusiastic about the WP community.

Hannah Smith – Co-lead and Comms Manager

Hannah is a freelancer in Bristol who offers WordPress web development. You’ll find her out and about giving talks and teaching WordPress in the Bristol area. She’s also the co-organiser of the Bristol WordPress meet-up and is a strong advocate for women in tech.

In her downtime, she loves being outside cycling, walking or if there is snow snowboarding. She is usually accompanied by her four legged best friend, Lili the golden retriever.

Rob George – Venue Manager

Rob is a WordPress & PHP developer and an organiser for Bristol WordPress People. He also runs a Code Club at a local school teaching kids to code.

In his downtime can be found building random electronic projects or in the woodshop covered in sawdust.

Rich Hill – Sponsors Manager

Rich is an entrepreneur and among other things is CEO of Mind Doodle. He has over 20 years experience in developing innovative software. He started his first company in 2001, and has never looked back. He’s an active member of the WordPress community. Through his companies he’s sponsored several WordCamps, including US and Europe and attends the wpbristol.co.uk. In his free time he enjoys playing and watching football, cooking and spending time with family.

Ronald Gijsel – volunteers manager

Ronald is as WordPress and WooCommerce Freelancer working for various agencies. Ronald is also a Google partner and Analytics advocate plus a co-host of the Cheltenham WordPress Meetup.

It is all about finding unique solutions to the diverse problems clients come up with, which I enjoy the most.

Outside of work Ronald enjoys spending time with his family including his 2 sons who he teaches about WordPress. Before becoming involved in Web Design he used to own an Italian restaurant for nearly 10 years. So apart from WordPress… Food, Art and a passion for Jazz are the main pillars of Ronald’s life.
