Our volunteers came on board to help us run the event. They were absolutely fantastic and without them we could not have made WordCamp Bristol 2019 the welcoming, friendly and inclusive event it was. Here they are in action!

Our day ran on Friday 17th May 2019 from 10am – 3pm at The Pavilion, a great venue on the waterfront looking over the harbour. We had 27 contributors covering a wide range of skills and experience levels contributing to design, theme review, support and WordPress.tv.
Jacob Stow and Hannah Smith led the organising of the Contributor day. At the start of the day they extended a warm welcome to all attendees and set the aims for the day, which was simply to learn and share knowledge about the WordPrecc community.

WordCamp Bristol 2019 kicks off tomorrow – yes that’s Friday the 17th May. We’re so excited to get you all together! Here’s a quick run down of some of the resources available on our website to help you plan your weekend with us.

We’re so incredibly proud of the speakers who will be sharing their knowledge with you. We have some really amazing sessions lined up for you on our schedule. If you need a little helping hand deciding what to attend, we’ve summarised the talks into topics in our post ‘What’s on the schedule for me?
One of our initiatives is bring your own lanyard. Many of us will have lots of these sitting in drawers or hanging around our offices. Please bring your own if you have one, and if you have other WordPress branded lanyards bring them for others. More details on our ‘Sustainbility and environmental considerations’ post.
We’re asking attendees to bring their own lanyard and any other spares they have at home to be reused.
Contributor day is completely free but don’t forget a separate registration is required. Now is the time to register if you’re going to join us so we can plan the catering. The School of Chemistry is an absolutely brilliant venue for us to hold the main conference in. Here’s a few pictures so you can get a feel for what the event will be like.
Our social on the Saturday night is at the Watershed on Bristol’s lovely harbourside. We’ve hired a private space at the back. If you came to WordCamp Bristol 2017, the main conference was held here.
Please ensure you have a valid ticket for the main conference if you plan to attend the social.
